In recent months, FC Bayern has modernized its entire brand color palette, positioning itself as an early adopter of the new Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), which comes into effect in June 2025. This forward-thinking approach already aligns with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), including standards for contrast ratios between text and background colors in digital spaces. As part of this update, the club’s logo has also been subtly refined for the first time since its last redesign in 2017.

As lead designer on this initiative for FC Bayern, I oversaw the creative direction and design process. With this refreshed brand identity, FC Bayern aims to enhance the user experience for everyone, ensuring a more accessible interaction across all touchpoints. The implementation of these updates will roll out gradually, spanning both digital and physical realms to maintain a cohesive brand identity with a unified FC Bayern logo. A core priority across these efforts is to champion accessibility, providing inclusive access to the FC Bayern experience for all.
