Münchner Donnerstagsrennen

I took full responsibility for the Munich Bike Stars Instagram account for the Münchner Donnerstagsrennen cycling series, rebranding its visual identity and managing everything from photography to ongoing communication.

The idea was to revive the spirit of the 1972 Munich Olympics and translate it into a contemporary visual language. Inspired by Otl Aicher’s iconic colour palette, I combined clear typography with a consistent layout system to connect Munich’s sporting heritage with today’s cycling culture.

I attended every race and shot all the photography myself, capturing the riders, movement and atmosphere from the roadside. Together with posts covering registration, schedules and results, the images formed a cohesive Instagram presence that documented the series and brought its character to life.
